Googles # 1 job is to bring you the best searches possibly to give you what you are looking for as a result. Much like meeting your spouse’s parents for the first time. They, of course want their best for their loved children and ensure that you are going to treat her in the best.  As we see it, here is the Laptop Warrior’s guide to “Dating Googles Daughter”.

Well for people with really big families (like our google has) they cannot spend the time to meet everyone personally. The only option is creating the ultimate algorithm and get to know you over time or will make you sit in the dog house.  Since 90% of most websites traffics are from Google, you can only imagine how well appearing first on the parents’ choice list for you (about 33% of all searches click on this).

8 TIPS FOR DATING GOOGLES DAUGHTER TO RANK YOU MORE DESIRABLE:

1.TALK ABOUT YOURSELF A LOT!

Content is King. Yes, your weekly blog is making a huge difference, but Google loves hearing great information or announcements everywhere.  Don’t just save that for Facebook.  Tell your accomplishments out there in many other places possible.  Shout is from the digital rooftops!

2. WORK ON YOUR ELEVATOR SPEECH.

Who you are (your title tag has increased to 70-71 characters) and what you do (meta description 160).  Tell them so much about you.  Especially relevant, your meta title and descriptions are the first thing they look at. However, make sure that you do some parent research (keyword planning tools) and find out what they are searching for the most.

3. REFERENCE CHECKS & REFERRALS.

Make sure you find some quality backlinks that will tell them how awesome you are. Leave your reviews at your places, visit you, interact with you, and spending time with you. Make sure that you are not constantly blabbing of how great you at bad places. Only quality sources that Google highly regards.

Also, the more places and people you meet, the better.  Take it social (Google +, Google Places, Linked In, Instagram, Twitter, Youtube, Vimeo, Reddit, Tumblr, or expert forums, etc)

4. DO NOT GET DRUNK AND SLUR YOUR WORDS.

Make sure to use your quality keywords in here as well.

5. TELL THEM YOUR INTENTIONS AND PLAN

Have an easy to read #sitemap so that Google knows your content and how often you updated.   They want someone always improving and shows upfront of how they will be handled.

6. ASK THEM WHERE YOU CURRENTLY STAND.

Google Search Console tells you which searches caused your site to appear the most, what sites are ranking to you, and how mobile users see you.

7. OFFER TO PAY FOR DINNER OR GIVE THEM A PRESENT.

Most important, Run Adwords. Personally, I think there are some long-term benefits of working together but don’t expect them to support you right away if your new to the biz (reciprocation takes a little time).

8. MAKE SURE YOU ARE CLEAN.

i.e. no malware infections ?
